This states that if you maintain your residence in the state of Minnesota for the entire year and you meet the requirements of minimum earned income of $12,525 for tax year 2021, then you are required to file Form M1. PART-YEAR RESIDENT:
This states that if you lived in the state of Minnesota for less than 183 consecutive days, you are required to file Form M1 NR. If you are employed with a company that is in Minnesota but are working out of state, that earned income is not taxable in Minnesota. NON-RESIDENT:
This states that if you lived in the state of Minnesota for less than 183 consecutive days and/or only received earned income while your legal residence is in another state, then you are required to file Form M1 NR.
