Now let’s get back on track, the filing process is exactly like the paper form, you will walk through a few steps entering your businesses information along the way. Make sure you enter all the information correctly so that the tax amount owed will be calculated correctly. The final step is a thorough review, all e-file providers have a review page before you submit, don’t just click on this page. Take a close look at all the info you have entered, make sure the VIN is correct, the EIN is correct, your payment method is correct. Take note that if you choose check payment you will be required to print out the completed 2290 Form online and send it to the IRS along with a check and that it can take weeks before you get your stamped schedule 1.
